My passion for Hosta came about as I searched for alternatives to the other perennials in our gardens. Soon I was captured by these wonderful shade tolerant perennials. Hostas are unique plants grown primarily for their beautiful foliage. The possibilities are endless. They include a variety of vibrant hues of blue, green, yellow and white, as well as various textures, shapes and sizes. My favorite hosta being the cutting edge hosta.
Our Hostas are field grown here in New Hampshire allowing the plants to make an easy transition from our home to your garden.
The Cutting Edge Hosta Farm list of horticultural services:
- We currently focus on recommending and selling hosta and companion plants to the do-it-yourself gardener. We will work with you, answer your questions and recommend hostas and companion plants that are best suited for the intended gardens. There are many factors such as lighting, phyical restrictions, maintenance, pests, lifestyle and preferences that need to be factored in when planning which plants to purchase. Gardening should be fun not a chore..
- We do garden tours of our property to help customers see what is possible and what the plants look like in a garden enviornment.
- We also provide Garden Coaching for home owners that are creating gardens or want to improve the garden spaces they have with new plants and hardscape. An on-site evaluation and assessment of the existing landscape area works well for the gardener who wants a second opnion or wants to solve a specific garden challenge and wants to be involved in the personalized design of their gardens. The end result will bring you a garden of joy and one that you will be proud to show to friends and family. Cost for this service is $65 per hour or $45 per hour with the purchase of $50 in plants.
